87 miles today from St. Francisville to Hammond Louisiana on highly trafficked roads. Hence, not many pictures. It's interesting that such mileages are becoming no big deal. We left at 7:30 this morning and 38° temperatures. It warmed up to the low 60s during the day. The down-home grill did a great job with lunch at the 58 mile point. Amazing how preoccupied we all get with finding food.
The roads today were not especially well-maintained; potholes and "Road snakes" which are large, long crevices that a tire can easily get caught in. I had to fend off only four dogs today. Three I outran; one I got off my bike and stared down. Hah! Below is a typical comfort stop off our route.
A short day tomorrow, only 55 miles to Bogalusa, Louisiana.
