Beautiful 40 mile ride into Alabama and out to Dauphin Island for a rest day tomorrow. It is definitely spring here. I liked the marshes, another version of the "low country" in this part of the US. The bridge over a muddy Mobile Bay to the island looked like a rollercoaster from the top. I can see eleven drilling platforms from our porch (I saw exactly two oil wells in all of Texas.)
Margarita party tonight. Gotta love the eastern US, state line crossings get more frequent. One more stop after this in Alabama, then into my home state of Florida!!
Spring has sprung! Looks beautiful. The bridge looks like it was lots of fun to ride over, gliding down the decline (is that a biker term?). Can't believe you are getting so close to home.
